Mmm… a sweet scent drifts from the kitchen. Christmas spices, orange and vanilla are just some of the aromas we associate with December and everything that makes Christmas so special.

For us, Christmas is about more than Christmas Eve. It is also about the cosy traditions along the way: gathering to bake biscuits, cut paper garlands and weave Christmas hearts. These little moments of togetherness are what make Christmas magical.

This advent calendar contains a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle divided between four boxes — one for each Sunday of Advent. Each Sunday, open a new box of 250 pieces and enjoy some peaceful puzzle time, either that day or a little at a time throughout the week.

We have added four creative Christmas activities to the advent calendar, which we hope will inspire cosy moments in December.

Under each box, a QR code gives you access to a Christmas recipe or activity:

1. First Sunday of Advent: How to make dried orange slices
2. Second Sunday of Advent: How to make gingerbread people
3. Third Sunday of Advent: How to bake Danish vanilla wreath biscuits
4. Fourth Sunday of Advent: How to weave Christmas hearts

We hope the calendar will create little moments of togetherness, concentration and Christmas magic throughout December.

All the boxes and pieces are numbered, so you can easily sort the pieces back into their boxes after Christmas. This lets you enjoy the calendar again year after year.
